Almost no one drinks an adequate amount of water when trying to lose weight. Adequate water intake is often overlooked or glossed over when dieting. A simple formula for determining the amount of water that's right for you is to take your weight, divide it in half and that equals the number of ounces of water you should drink each day.

That may seem like a lot, but water does many wonderful things for your body when trying to lose weight so do your best to drink the proper amount.

Another thing that people look to avoid when losing weight is exercise. You really shouldn't feel this way. While exercise is vitally important, it isn't as bad as it seems.

Ideally you should try to burn 2000 calories per week while trying to lose weight. You can start with one ten-minute walk every day, and work up to at least 20 ten-minute exercise sessions a week. If you walk just one mile you burn 150 calories.

Try to eat at least five times a day whether you are hungry or not. I suggest three meals and two snacks each day rich with plenty of fruits and vegetables. When eating fruits and vegetables you get a lot of food for the calories. For example, three cups of broccoli, contains roughly 120 calories, about the same as a tablespoon of butter.

Please help I am depressed?
So basically all of my life no one has tried to be friends with me. No one. Since I look like a "nerd" or a "loser" no one wants to hang with me..no matter how hard i try to be friends with them. If anyone tried to get to know me they will know that i like games and like to joke and read and write and draw..but no one tries to talk to me because I am fat and according to guys I'm ugly. I met this guy who likes me for me but doesn't want to date me because i am fat so instead he went for his slim friend who ignores him constantly. I want to go on nutrisystem but my mother said it's a waste of money. how can i make up a diet plan that i can follow for the rest of my life? and i am very bitter btw so if i lose weight and everyone wants to be my friend and such i will ignore them or reject them..is that ok?

How to discipline a child when time-outs don't seem to work?
I nanny for twin boys- they are 10 years old. The one boy is very disrespectful and is always "talking back". Ie: "No, I won't go to my room." "What is your issue? You are so stupid!" Anyway, the conversation ended with him yelling that he didn't care if he was grounded, he was having the pancakes and then he hung up on her and threw the phone across the room. This is an everyday thing with him. I usually put him in his room for 10 minutes but it seems to have no effect. He just comes right back downstairs mouthing off again. What can I do to put a stop to this? I'm just about my wit's end. He called me a b_itch under his breath the other day and I saw red. What can I do? Moms, help me! * Spanking is not an option. I couldn't possibly spank someone else's child. Besides disagreeing with spanking to begin with, there all cameras all over the house that go directly to Mom & Dad's work desk.
